VISION

Vision summarized

To make spiritual impact in our community, nation and world by developing fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Vision explained

The vision consists of three essential parts:

A.  Making spiritual impact

If Crosspoint Baptist does not make spiritual impact then we are nothing more than a religious country club.  Our activity should serve to change lives forever.

B.  Our community, nation and world

We are called to reach all peoples with the gospel.  The Acts 1:8 model serves as a paradigm for where our concern is to be located.  This concern begins in our own community, but it expands beyond that to our nation and world as well.  Through mission trips, mission projects, mission offerings and mission praying we will go into all the world to make spiritual impact.

C.  Developing fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ

If we are not committed in some fashion to the Great Commission we cannot be said to be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.  Crosspoint Baptist will empower and encourage EVERY individual to be on mission with God in some form.  Every member will be expected to participate in some type of mission endeavor (locally, nationally or globally) each year.

MISSION

Mission summarized

To train and develop disciples who go with the gospel and then send them with the resources to effectively communicate the good news.

Mission explained

Through preaching and teaching, the need for believers to be on mission with God will be emphasized.  Members will have regular and frequent opportunities to take part in training programs to learn to more effectively share their faith.  Crosspoint Baptist will provide multiple opportunities for individuals to take part in mission projects and mission trips so that members may practice the Great Commission.  Regular and frequent evangelistic activities will also be conducted locally as we reach out into our community with the gospel.

VALUES

Six values will undergird this body of believers:

1.  Purpose

Crosspoint Baptist will be a church that seeks to live out the New Testament purposes of worship, evangelism, ministry, fellowship and discipleship.  The structure of this body of believers will be designed to enable us to be purposeful in all that we do.

2.  Prayer

God's people are to be people of prayer.  Prayer should be the foundation of all that we do.  Each member will be expected to be a person of prayer individually and corporate prayer will also be an important facet of Crosspoint Baptist.

3.  Peace

God's Word says we are called to peace.  Jesus said, Blessed are the peacemakers.  We will seek to create a culture of peace at Crosspoint Baptist Church and be people who, as much as is within us, are at peace with all people.

4.  People

People matter to God so they should matter to us as well.  Crosspoint Baptist will treat all people equally and seek to reach out to guests who attend as well as lost neighbors, family, friends, etc.

5.  Praise

Our lives should praise God both individually and corporately.  As 1 Corinthians 10:31 says, whether therefore you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.  Each activity of Crosspoint Baptist and of our individual lives should bring glory to God.

6.  Progress

Crosspoint Baptist will provide the structure, facilities and resources to enable us to make corporate progress for the kingdom as well as individual progress in our Christian walk.

What We Believe

Statement of Faith

WE BELIEVE in the divine inspiration of the whole Bible and therewith the infallibility of the Holy Scripture which is God's Word, and in the eternal Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and shed His blood to save mankind. He died and arose bodily the third day and later ascended into heaven.

WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ died in the place of each individual sinner and that all who believe in Him as their personal Savior are justified through His shed blood and have become children of God.
